Join us for a walk in the woods to get to know our fungal neighbours. The walk will be led by London National Park City Ranger, Michael Green (www.instagram.com/londonfungusnetwork). We will learn how to identify common mushroom species, as well as exploring the role of fungi in the ecosystem and Jewish traditions.
Join us from 10.45am for free mushroom tea (bring your own cup!), with the foray starting at 11am.
Mushrooms are mysterious. They capture our imagination like no other organisms. Perceived as life-giving, mind-blowing and deadly, fungi simultaneously inspire fear, confusion and wonder. Against the odds, fungi thrive in big cities like London too. The walk will be led by Michael Green from the London Fungus Network.
The foray will take place whatever the weather. Please note that this event is for educational purposes and is not a foraging course.
