Come and join us for a guided tree walk, led by Genevieve Passamante (forest school leader) around Golders Hill Park to mark the Jewish New Year of trees of Tu B’Shevat. This holiday is a time to remember the importance of trees. We will explore the rich diversity of trees from native and introduced trees and discover how to identify them by observing the important features to look for, from leaves to bark. We will hear about the significance and importance of trees within Jewish tree law. There will be group work and activities taking place along the walk to enhance our awareness of the natural world. At the end people can gather for a cup of tea in the cafe (you will need to buy your own). Appropriate outdoor clothing essential.
