Discover how fashion connects to climate and ecological crisis, creativity and justice at this inspiring event with fashion activist Leah Thorn of ‘a:dress’ insta@a.dress.fashion and artist Miki Shaw insta@heymikis This event is in partnership with EcoJudaism Bring any clothes you want to have a go at mending or up cycling, and learn hand-stitching techniques like sashiko and darning Bring your clean unwanted clothes and accessories to our clothes swap Join in interesting conversations about fashion, the environment, and climate and racial justice View an award-winning short film, featuring upcycled, message-adorned clothing Experience a Subversive Catwalk Refreshments, and soup included Timings: 4.30-6pm Drop in mending and up-cycling workshop and clothes swap 6-7.30pm A short film, subversive catwalk, talk and conversation Hot drinks available throughout and delicious vegan soup available between 5.30 and 6pm Please get in touch with zoe@jvs.org.uk if you are interested in being a model (for those identifying as female)- no experience needed!
