About This Event
For Veganuary join chef Karyn who will show you how to make delicious savoury and sweet baked goods, including scones, muffins and more. The session will involve baking together and learning tips for making vegan baking easy. At the end of the class we will sit down together for tea, sample what we’ve made, chat and share vegan cooking tips. You can take home any left overs and the recipes. About chef Karyn Aviani: Karyn was born in Israel, raised in the US and Israel and currently lives in Leicester. For several years she had a vegan baking business where she supplied cakes to cafes and did the deliveries on her bike. These days she works part-time in the charity sector and plays guitar and sings as a solo artist in Leicester, but still cooks everything from scratch and creates recipes for her friends, family and Jewish community to enjoy. As Karyn is of mixed Ashkenazi (Belarus) and Mizrahi (Yemen) heritage, she is not averse to merging cooking styles in order to create unique flavor combinations. She does occasional cookery demonstrations with Food for a Future at Glastonbury as various vegan festivals around the Midlands, as well as at Vegfest London. Please note we will be using gluten and nuts.
